You can rent a car at the Kona airport and drive there yourself. It is near Hilo. Check the park site for directions. If you are renting a car anyway, you just pay $25 per car entry fee at the park entrance no matter how many people are in the car. you can drive part way around Kilauea caldera and stop at the Jaggar Museum. You can drive down the mountain to the Sea Arch by car. Check the visitors' centre for walking and hiking trails. Get a map..
